Night Photography
Night photography has been an interest of mine for several years now. The possibility of capturing images in way not possible with the human eye or with a video camera is fascinating for me. I find being creative and unique is the key with this type of photography, always trying to come up with something different to do, ensuring my work stands out from the crowd.
Motorsport
Since cars, motorsport and racing in general is a massive hobby and interest of mine anyway, taking photos of it combines both my photography interests as well as the motorsport aspect. Combinations of different types and styles of photography can work with when taking photos of cars on a track, whether it be freeze-frame with a high shutter speed, or a slower one to capture the speed and motion of the subject.
Portraiture & Portrait Photography
Unfortunately, I have not done that much portraiture work, but from what I have done I have really enjoyed. I find using a large aperture with various lighting rigs work well for this type of photography. Luckily I have a Canon 50mm f1.8 for this, along with my Canon flashgun with an IF remote so I can position the flash where its needed in order to light the subject(s) perfectly.
Landscape Photography
Although I find landscape or “static” photography quite boring sometimes, I also enjoy it given the right subject. Wide-angle and small apertures is what I tend to use for this type of photography, ensuring the photo shows as much as possible to the viewer, as well as keeping everything as crisp as possible.
