Canon sent me a cheque

When I bought my Canon 400d, I noticed a cheque-type-book inside the box. This book had a number of money-back vouchers for various Canon lenses and equipment. It quickly got forgotten, but after I bought my Canon 17-40mm L, I remembered that this lens was inside in the voucher book. I read the instructions and entered all my details on to the Canon promotions website.

Canon cheque for me!

Some weeks later, here it is. A Canon cheque, to me, for £70. Since I bought my 17-40L for the amazing low price of £500 to start with (from new, from Jessops!!), with this £70 off, that now makes it just £430. Thats nothing!

It’s nothing when you have the £500 spare in the first place.

Did you not get rebates on the body or the big lens? I thought that both of them were offering rebates at some point recently.

No, I don’t think so. If you have a look at this page on the Canon promotions website, there’s a list of all the products they offer rebate for.

The only product on that list that I own is the 17-40L. Shame.

Well hey, it’s still a bonus that you weren’t expecting in the first place so that’s gotta be a good thing. Happy new year buddy. :)

    Thanks, and to you! :)
