Apologies if I’m a little out of the loop here, but IE8 is now out (in beta) and available to download for the general public.
As soon as I heard about it, my thoughts were instantly “please, not another browser to cater for when developing websites…”, but I think I’m being proved wrong.
Luckily, as far as I can tell, it looks like IE8 is using the old IE7 engine. Still crap then, but at least its not completely different. IE8 also includes a developer tool – a Firebug type-thing, which is handy.
I’ve upgraded my IE7 OS to IE8, and its not as bad as I thought… But I still love Firefox
