Hi Steve, no worries. Glad I could help :)

I mainly use Minispares.com for all my parts. Phone them up, probably the best way, the stock almost every single part, nut & bolt for a Mini!

Next up, I broke off my rear subframe studs, then I had to angle grind my way into the outer sil from the inside to get access to the rusted captive nut. Once in, drill out the captive nut, then replace subframe with a simple nut and bolt. Do up tight, then re-weld a patch-panel where you angle grinded earlier. No other way I could think of doing this :(

Great site thankyou so much for all your valuable info, we are stripping the rear end of a 92 mayfair wich needs quite a bit of work doing to keep her road worthy. At first I thought it was to big of a job to tackle - having never done one before your website is going to be a great help. Can you recomend a cheap website out there?. We need loads of rear spare body parts as well as the subframe. did you buy yours locally ? Also how did you end up removing your broken studs(Possible stud extraxtor!) presumably you threw away your parts, where as we want to re-use as many as we can. Ive already made fwe mistakes -funny how we learn the hard way....love to hear from you. thanks again Steve...

Hi Sam, thanks for the comment!

Your story and photos looks very familiar! Outside in the cold and all, what a nightmare, but its worth it!

Thanks very much anyway, stay in touch. I'm hoping to get the rear subframe of mine back on this weekend - again, weather permitting!!

Looks good, My car has been off the road for about 18months and a new front subframe was in order. I have never done a job this big and can really sympathine with the weather and sheared bolts.
Some pictures of me and 'Charlie'
