Today at work, randomly, I thought of this funny cheesy quote from a kids TV show. Well at least I think I did.
It goes something like this: "Hi kids, its Mr Jumbles here!", or Jinges, or something. But for the life of me I cannot find anything about this on Google. Absolutely nothing. Am I going nuts!?
Update: Is it Mr Tumbles? Is that a TV show of any kind? Help!!
After going out tonight and asking various mates (about 10 people) NONE of them knew what I was going on about. They all gave me that “I don’t know what you’re talking about /slash/ I think you’re weird” type face…
I can imagine, I guess that you just don’t have enough work to do in the day
Nope, I don’t know what you’re talking about either. But then I am a little older than you.
You aren’t talking about Mr Majeika are you?
Hm, this is really worrying me now. No, I can almost swear it is Mr Tumbles. He says it in a really British accent really over exaggerated, and he’s wearing a half-clown outfit.
…
Do you think there’s a possibility that I am going mentally insane? Or that I’ve had an alien abduction and therefore have these memories of Mr Tumbles? …
Came across your site by accident, and I wasn’t searching for Mr Tumble, but I do know what it is. Many hours watching it with my daughter. Mr Tumble is a clown who uses sign language. Sky tv 617!! even my 2 year old knows that!!
The bloke is the most annoying bloke I have ever seen, I think his names Justin.
Anyway I don’t know how I even got to thiis site.
Regards
Scott
Look what I found:
Mr Tumble on DVD!
There’s loads of it on Amazon too. Just search for Mr Tumble.
YAY! I am not going crazy! Thanks Scott, I know, I remember him being really annoying too!!
mr tumble is on kids tv here in england, it is off a program called something special on cbeebies. it is for children with learning diffulculties. he is a clown and he does sign language
Hi Nicola! Thanks for that. Looking back at this post now, I seem to remember it. I think I know where I’ve heard him from too – from watching CBeebies with my Girlfriends sister a long time ago. I seem to remember enjoying the way he talks, and his voice, quite funny
Thanks!!
i adore mr tumble on his show ‘something special’, i use it whe i go out with my friends, and we make the maddest sentence we can think of, something along the lines of “hello friend, look at my sparkely shoe pie”….this has caught on and as my mum is a childminder we watch it every day and are now hoping to go onto a course to learn more.
its fantastic!!!!
Collin i used to love mr majekia!! where can i get that dvd?? plus i like mr tumble too so i think i just have a thing for funny men?….
it’s mr tumbles a cbeebies show. I’ll admit to watching it lol.
Did you read the story in The Sun about the double entandre of a Makaton sign language meaning “happy” and the British sign language version meaning…well, let’s leave that to the imagination now, shall we?
Thanks all for your comments!! I haven’t watched the cBeeBies show in a long time now, after posting this originally. I must sit down and watch Mr Tumbles again!!
Yep, sure enough it’s Mr Tumble. See mrumbleisinnocent.co.uk for more details – seems like it’s cratd a bit of a stir!
Well, i happened to be at a camp site in the south east on saturday with my friend who has a little sister (so she knew who me tumble was) and who do we meet, mr tumble himself.
he is a twat! i asked him to leave a voicemail for my niece and as soon as it beeped he swore! needless to say my sister didnt bother letting me niece listen to it!
what a loser.
Thanks for the funny comments Amy, that did make me laugh! You don’t, by any chance, still have the voice recording on your phone do you? If you do, send it to me and I will certainly get it up on the homepage of my website! That would be brilliant!
Thanks again
Daze.
