Are you using ultimate tag warrior? UTW needs a slight change to the php to stop it killing things on the blog. I haven't upgraded to 2.1 yet as the WP team will still support and update the 2.0x release for the next few months. Have a look at the .org support forum and see how many people are having issues with the upgrade. Most of these are either user stupidity or not understanding the new systems but some are a little worrying. Theme designers having to re-design theme as tags and hooks have changed etc. While the Devs have been hard at work, the limited extra functionality that Ella gives just doesn't warrant me updating yet. BTW, static pages are easily achievable in 2.0x with a simple static page plugin. I have done a fairly simple WP based site for the Pancake Eating Freaks that's a custom theme and was good fun!
