A cycle ride (and photographing!)

So, I was thinking I hadn’t been on a cycle ride in ages when I got home from work, since the introduction to modern transport in my life (being 17 helped…) so I went out with a few mates this evening armed with my camera and also hopefully burnt off some excess flab.

I also managed to grab a few shots while I was out which I am very pleased with, take a look…

Also, although I didn’t have a tripod with me, I finally got a quick chance to try out some long time exposure on the beach, and it came out great!

Long exposure of waves on the beach

Well happy with that! A few points to note though that I used a polarizing filter to bring the light down into the lens, but it also made the water non-reflective I think (looking at the foreground). I didn’t take too much care in adjusting the polarizing filter when I took the shot, so its either that or simply because the wave wasn’t over the stones for the entire duration of the exposure.

I am also planning on cycling to work the rest of this week (I have 2 days off…) but don’t tell anyone!

Edit: Just headed over to Collin’s website for the latest updates in his life and his most recent post is about weight loss. Funny that we’re both talking about it, eh? I know I shouldn’t really complain about my weight / fattyness, because I’m not really, but it’ll make me feel better knowing I exercise just that little bit more!

Flab? Flab? You don’t know the meaning of flab!
