Lately been thinking a lot about getting a second car, and I have indeed come to the decision to get one. Many of my friends, some of which are mechanics, recommended me a to go for a 1998-on-ward Ford Fiesta, in particular the Mk5, made between 1999 and 2001. Just so happened that the Ford dealer walking distance from my house had one available which was within my price limit. I have previously contacted my bank and also (won’t name names) but another loan company and got an awesome APR rate from the "other one". On the phone I went through them, giving all the details, and at the end of the phone call he said I can’t give you an answer if you have been accepted yet because bank holiday, etc. That was fair enough, and he said we will ring you tomorrow. Tomorrow came and they rung again, requesting me to send me my account statements from the last 3 months, I said that I needed the money quite urgently and that I don’t think I could do that, although took their address & fax number anyway. A few moments after that, another phone call from them saying that "no worries" you have been accepted anyway, paperwork will be with you tomorrow, sign & return and you’re all done. Fantastic… This morning however, yet another phone call from this company. Now rejecting me again and requesting I do indeed need to send off my bank statements for the last 3 months! Bitch’s, why didn’t you just keep to what you originally said! They have also upped their APR rate to almost double, since I am 19 with no previous credit history! God DAMN why? Anyway, back to good news. Should be getting my X reg Fiesta this Friday, its a 1.25 Zetec in metallic Green with Alloys and white dials! No modifications to this one, believe me, but it will be nice to give the Mini a break and some time for me to get some things sorted on it. I’ll probably post some photo’s of my new motor once I have her insured (oh yes, then there’s that!…)
Sounds like you had a few probs mate but the car sounds good. Finally we can ride in comfort and with more than just two. lol!
Are you going to do anything to it at all?
Hehe yeh a few problems, but I think all is sorted out now, should be driving it tomorrow! Nope, I am doing no mods to the car at all, I must keep this one standard to keep insurance costs down and the value of the car high.
Also, what’s the point, I still have plenty of stuff to do to the Mini to keep me happy!
1310cc, Weber 45 DCOE, SCCR Box, X-pin Diff, 286 cam, etc on the books for the Mini! Should be near on 100bhp, 0-60 in around 7 seconds!
Sweet dude!
Look forward to the finished thing! Its been a very long project!
Mmmm! I won’t be doing too much to it until after the Nurburgring trip to Germany, after that I will SORN it off the road and begin the year (or two) job!
You’ll never beat the ford transit round there
