Blog statistics for 2007 + New years resolutions

I just noticed that I’ve totally forgot to mention anything about the new year. Although 2008 is already 9 days old – Happy New Year everyone! Its been a good year for me and I think I’ve achieved a fair bit. Lets look back at 2007, for me and this blog.

  • 80 posts in 2007 (compared to 156 posts in 2006! – need to write more!)
  • 86,352 unique visitors in 2007 (compared to 39,470 in 2007 – a massive increase)
  • 468,669 page views in 2007 (compared to 312,300 in 2007 – another increase)
  • 344 comments in 2007 (4.3 comments per post)

Now lets look at some of the things that I did in 2007, good and bad.

  • Bought another Mini – Sylvester.
  • Replaced my other car, a Fiesta, with a VW Passat.
  • Bought 2 camera lenses
  • Have had one of my photos on the front cover of a magazine
  • Have had a handful of my photos in a number of magazines
  • Am still very happy and with my lovely girlfriend, Amey
  • Completed a rally training day at Silverstone with good results
  • Completed two 15 min sessions of Castle Combe track day

That’s just a bunch of stuff off the top of my head, I’m sure there’s more. And I’m sure I’m missing some stuff which wasn’t so positive but I’m choosing to ignore that. Anyway, I thought it would be good for me to post up a sort of "new years resolution" for myself as well. I don’t usually do this sort of thing, but maybe I should start doing so. Who knows, this stuff might just happen!

  • Start renting a flat with Amey
  • Get a large pay rise or a new job
  • Buy an Apple Macbook to replace my old desktop PC
  • Don’t buy or sell any of my cars this year!
  • Get the new version of this site finished and online
  • Be more involved with the Mini club and get the new site done
  • Go to the gym and eat more heathy!

That’ll do for now. I hope the top three things happen. I’d be very happy with that.
Best wishes to everyone for 2008. Daze.
