Finding the time to update this blog is ever-becoming a more challenging task, and although its usually almost on the bottom of my Todo list, I’ve managed to squeeze in a quick update to the blog design.
I’ve removed the lower image of the Spinnaker Tower. It was big and quite ugly actually, and at a bloat-worthy 800kb+, it was quickly sapping my bandwidth.
This “version 7.1″ design also has a small touch of “class” when the page loads, as you may notice, it adds on a Vignette-type effect on the entire page.
And, by the way, you may notice I call it Version 7.1. A bit lame to be fair, but roughly, from memory, I’ve gone through 7 different designs on this site so far – excluding the Frontpage attempts of my younger web-designing dark ages!

In FF3 on Vista there’s some really funky (bad) scrolling effect when I roll the screen up and down. It’s like the window is trying to catch up with the scrolling. Any ideas?
Ah crap, really?
Will check that out later & fix, I hope. Either that or remove the feature if its that bad
Damn Vista. Damn M$!!
Love that the Spinnaker image has gone, don’t love the vignette. Still better than my new site though!
Ah cool. But you don’t like the vig? Mmm Okay.
Might have a few more tweaks to do sometime soon
heh, don’t change anything on my account – I only come for the content anyway :p
I miss the Spinnaker Tower
Like the vig though! Very swish!
Hey Chris, ta very muuch!!
Wow! very swish looking design.
Small bug report: The recent comments shows the date of the post rather than the date of the comment so it looks like your last comment was in 2006
Thanks dude!
Ah, very well spotted – cheers. Will fix that whenever I get time (very limited!)
I pointed a few visitors to your site the other day – recommended them to your long exposure tutorials – very informative, nicely done. Woop
LOL, thanks. Unfortunately they are a pile of shite / really old and outdated.
Also, you need some sort of comment subscription. I had to visit the site again to see if you had replied. Just a suggestion though.
