I’ve gone and bought a Canon 350d!

Okay, Okay, I was persuaded into buying a Canon 350d today at Jessops! I popped down to have a chat with the guys there and one of them teased me and I went and bought it. Price wasn’t too bad (although won’t be named on here).

I went for a Silver 350d body since in store (and on the Jessops website) the Silver body comes with an 18-55mm USM lens and a bag, unlike the Black body 350d which comes with a 18-55mm NON USM lens. USM is something to do with ultrasonics and makes it better (look it up on Google…)

So, along with that lens and its body, I got a 75-300mm Canon USM lens too, which is also awesome. I would have no doubts at the moment to not reconmend this deal to anyone. The lenses are plenty fast enough for what I want (motorsport, etc) and the quality of the photo’s is just great.

I’ve uploaded a handfull of photos which I’ve taken today, so see for yourself…

Very nice, if I had the money I’d get “a” digital cam, but I’m saving for a HD video cam, which is stupidly expensive. Good to see you got back alive and well, did you beat the ford transit van?

  5. Daze says:

HD video cam? As in high definition? Bloody hell, that would be nice!

As for the transit, I decided against going round the circuit at any decent speed since its over 1000 Euro’s if you hit a barrier. I did however get a ride in the RingMini (see this post) in which we did the circuit in about 8:30.

    Damn fast! :)

Then your physical self beat the transit, even if the mini didn’t.
