I popped over to the Official Google Blog and see that they’ve updated their blog with various statistics from 2006. 294 posts and 7.6 million unique visitors, not bad ay? Along with the Google Blog, Google employee Matt Cutts has done the same for his blog, so for not much reason at all, I thought I’d do the same. The stats below are only from 2006.
156 posts in 2006.
39,470 unique visits in 2006.
312,300 page views in 2006.
That’s not too bad I don’t think. It makes for 253 unique visits per post. So where’s all the comments, I wonder? Also, since I’ve become a bit addicted to Flickr since July 2006, here’s the stats for that over the past 6 months for my Flickr account.
946 added photos since July 2006.
12,884 views since July 2006.
Finally, here’s a list of my top search key phrases from 2006.

I’m pleased, although of course I’m hoping for even better statistics throughout 2007. So, fellow bloggers, what’s your stats like?
How many Google Dollars would that Blog bring in.
Matt Cutt’s Blog? A fair bit I would guess, at the amount of visitors at least.
Then again, the visitors/readers to his site are the type of people who automatically ignore adverts – as do my readers – and therefore it wouldn’t be as profitable as it could be.
What did you use to collect those stats?
Awstats for everything apart from the number of posts. For that, I used wp-admin and added them up for each month, using the Manage Posts administration section.
Blog your stats, it’ll be interesting to see. I am pretty sure you’ll be higher than mine, you have far more incoming links according to Technorati
[...] n his post, Daze mentioned his site statistics for 2006 and asked if I could do the same for comparison. He has used AW Stats which I don’t have access to1. My host uses Webaliser so the definitions may vary slightly. Here we go: Visits: 94612 Pages: 248914 Hits: 559224 Total Number of Blog Posts (from WordPress): 298 [...]

Nah, I doubt that. But maybe Hampshire Photography, Abstract Photography, Long Time Exposure, etc?
Its funny, I am position #6 Google global search for Long Time Exposure (with 48 million other results – so very very good) but its not in my top 10 search phrase list. I guess its not searched upon that often.
Very odd, still that is impressive stuff. I guess people search more for “light streaks” or “Night photography” or something like that.
Yep, I guess so. Difficult to tell of course. It might be because “Long Exposure” gets searched more than “Long Time Exposure”, I know that “Long Exposure” returns more results – of course. But a long while ago I decided to target the latter, maybe I shouldn’t have done!…
[...] A quick follow up from my 2006 blog statistics, I noticed Collin blogged about his stats, with a quite impressive outcome. I also noticed that he used Webalizer to gather his information, rather than what I used which was AWstats. I decided to check out what my Webalizer was telling me… [...]
That sounds very impressive. Keep up the good work
